{ forever curious }

I love to learn.  I want to know how things work.  I want to understand why things are the way they are.  It doesn’t matter what it is.  Be it how data is stored in a b-tree by SQL or etymology of ‘ok’.  Seriously - it all intrigues me.

Here’s an example.  I have always wondered how t-shirts are made.  When I was looking for a vendor to create the hireChewy shirts, I made it a point to only work with people who were willing to explain to me the t-shirt making process.  Well – I lucked out.  Not only did the vendor take the time to explain the process and show me the equipment… they let me assist them with the actual printing of my shirts.  Pretty cool huh?

My curiosity is a quality that I’m very proud of.  It drives pretty much everything that I am.  My enthusiasm, my interpersonal skills, the list goes on.  There is so much to see and learn… why on earth would anyone not be curious?

Did I perk your interest in the origin of ‘ok’?  Here's a story from NPR.

{ explore }

I am a sincere believer that travel and exploring the world is the best education a person can have.  What does this mean to you?  At this point in my life, I am open to traveling extensively and/or relocating to a foreign country.

{ challenge }

I love a challenge.  Simple as that.  If something is easy to do… it really isn’t that fun.

Putting on my pants.  Tying my shoes.  Watching TV.  Not very challenging… therefore not very fun.

Learning how to run a project.  Trying to beat a friend's time at solving the cube.  Helping a company use technology to sell more business and solve efficiency issues.  Now… that is some serious fun.

There is nothing wrong with ‘easy’… if that’s your thing.  It just isn’t mine.

{ energetic }

Maybe it is too much coffee.  Or maybe I love what I do.

Either way, do not worry where it comes from.  Just keep me challenged and give me an opportunity to learn & grow.  I’ll provide the enthusiasm and energy (even if I have to take my coffee intravenously).

{ friendly }

Being friendly and able to work well with others, I believe, is a paramount characteristic in someone.  I continually strive to:

  - Listen and take a sincere interest in what others have to say
  - Be open minded
  - Be respectful of others
  - Be honest and straightforward
  - Be approachable and helpful

And ultimately … be friendly and a pleasure to work with.

Since you and I are not currently meeting in person, my ability to demonstrate to you a soft skill such as this is rather limited.  So why don't you let me take you out for a cup of coffee.  Get to know me.  Ask for my references and talk with the people who have worked with me.

Go ahead.  Take me up on my offer and contact me.

{ committed }

Having good intentions only goes so far.  As you can see from my site… I have lots of good intentions.  But what sets me apart is my commitment to deliver.

Don’t take my word for it.  Take a look at my past performance.  You will see that I am not just intentions… I am also committed.

{ guaranteed }

Finding that perfect someone to join your team must be very risky.  Not only are you investing valuable time and money in your search... there is no guarantee what you find will be a good fit.

So what makes me different?  How about a
US$10,000 performance guarantee?  Money where my mouth is.  How many of your other candidates can make this offer?

Interested?  Contact me for the details.
